I-494 34th Ave to Hwy 100 in Richfield and Bloomington

Description: Resurface road, add WB auxiliary lane, reconstruct median, repair drainage systems and reconstruct Xerxes Ave bridge.

Construction Dates: July 2012 - Nov 2013

Traffic Impacts: Ramp closures, lane closures, 5 weekend closures of I-494, long-term closure of the Xerxes Ave bridge.

Closure of American Boulevard
American Blvd will be closed from Normandale Service Rd to approximately 200' south starting in the early AM of Monday, July 30. This closure is anticipated to last approx. 1 week (weather permitting). The contractor will be reconstructing American Blvd in this location during the closure. Traffic will still be able to travel east and west along Normandale Service Rd on American Blvd during this closure. Also, the existing closure on Normandale Service Rd from American Blvd to W 84th St will be reopened prior to this closure. The detour for this closure will utilize Normandale Service Rd, W 84th St, Stanley Rd and W 82nd St.

Take I-494 West to the France Avenue South exit.
Turn left on France Avenue South and proceed to American Boulevard W.
Turn left at the stoplight on American Boulevard W.
Turn left on Northland Drive.
Turn left at the second driveway into TRIA and enter the parking ramp.

From the West:

Take I-494 East to the France Avenue South exit.
Turn right on France Avenue South and proceed to American Boulevard W.
Turn left at the stoplight on American Boulevard W.
Turn left on Northland Drive.
Turn left at the second driveway into TRIA and enter the parking ramp.

Follow signs to the skyway level of the Northland Plaza ramp for direct access to TRIA Physical Therapy and Education Center. Free parking is available in the Northland Plaza ramp.

From the East:

Take I-494 West to the France Avenue South exit.
Turn left on France Avenue South and proceed to American Boulevard W.
Turn left at the stoplight on American Boulevard W.
Turn left on Northland Drive.
Turn left at the first driveway, then take another immediate left into the Northland Plaza parking ramp.
Park on the top floor of ramp for direct skyway access to TRIA Physical Therapy and Education Center.

From the West:

Take I-494 East to the France Avenue South exit.
Turn right on France Avenue South and proceed to American Boulevard W.
Turn left at the stoplight on American Boulevard W.
Turn left on Northland Drive.
Turn left at the first driveway, then take another immediate left into the Northland Plaza parking ramp.
Park on the top floor of ramp for direct skyway access to TRIA Physical Therapy and Education Center.
