Purpose Statement:
Participants in the TRIA Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Conference will have an opportunity to hear
presentations on current and best practice approaches to sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery. They
will be able to discuss topics with expert faculty on diagnosing, treating and preventing sports related
injuries.
Target Audience:
Sports Medicine, Orthopaedic physicians and surgeons, and other Allied Health Professionals interested
in surgical management including evaluation and post-operative treatment and rehabilitation.
Learning Objectives:
Following this course, participants should be able to:
- Determine the role of joint preservation in the management of patients with cartilage disorders.
- Identify the role new techniques can play in non-operative treatment for patients with cartilage disorders.
- Assess the role of evidence based rehab as a treatment option and for the post-operative care for patients with cartilage disorders.
